MS stuff is great, but there are quirks and bugs that I have to apologize for. I always have to apologize about something. In general, it can be said that you should always optimize PDFs for the Web if you make a PDF available on a Web page. An optimized PDF does not have to be downloaded completely before it can be displayed.

I have discussed my Surface Book to colleagues who are Apple fans and I tout how great Windows 10 (Pen) and the Surface are.BUT A PDF optimised for the web is structurally prepared in such a way that it is displayed more quickly when opened on the Internet.
I love my Surface Book and found Onenote to have helped my workflow greatly. Work in Onenote? And, no, "Insert as Printout" is not a proper solution as some of us want/need to preserve the PDF file and don't want to clutter our notes with open pages (some PDF's are hundreds of pages).

Why can't what I assume is a premier developer be given the access to make his product work, or do only multi-billion dollar companies such as Adobe have the resources to work in your ecosystem?ĭrawboard is one of your flagship star apps when you showed off the Surface Pro and Book and even was touted by your executives during kick off announcements and media presentations. So what gives Microsoft? If you want us to buy apps and use your "ecosystem" then why do you make it painful and not "make Problems with me opening a file in Onenote and doing some annotation and saving DIRECTLY into Onenote. Well, if I open a PDF in Onenote and annotate it with text and highlights I cannot just "save" it back to Onenote as a PDF file due to restrictions. We are waiting for Microsoft to lift this restriction with Windows apps. You can test this by using any other Windows PDF Apps (from the app store). You will notice that all Windows apps do not have access to the OneNote location. Type in or paste the web address you want to link to and click OK. In the Create a Link dialogue box that pops up, select Open a web link and click Next. Seeīelow a response on the Drawboard help blog to this issue on Jby the CEO of Drawboard. Next, draw a square around the text you want to hyperlink, like this: 3. It can be found via Navigation bar > More '.' > Save As (advanced) > Reduce file size. For some reason UWP/Windows apps seem to have an issue of having access to the Onenote file locations. If your document is becoming quite large, you can use the 'Save As (Advanced)' feature, and then select Reduce file size. I use Onenote extensively with my work and graduate studies and have one big limitation with it.
